Simply Soothing

Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!

Point Danger, Queensland, Australia, is a gorgeous location. It is close to home for me, which is a bonus. It’s also a very popular beach with surfers.

They have restrictions regarding no overnight camping. The road is officially ‘open’ for traffic from 5am. It is humorous witnessing the surfers literally run into the surf, as they dash from the car park.

This beach is not big, it almost represents a cove. On each occasion I’ve visited this beautiful beach, I have always come away with some unique photos. The surfers are so polite and considerate in that they consider where I’m shooting from and provide a good distance before they enter the ocean.

I have often arrived just before first light, depending on the time of the year, due to the no overnight camping/parking restrictions, witnessing the light illuminate across the horizon in an incredible way. As with the surfers, I too, run towards the shoreline to commence my photo shoot at 5am.

On the morning of this shoot, as you can see, the light was gorgeous. A golden glow. Wonderful warmth, with the headland in the distance. It is a picture that is inviting, warm and soothing. The ocean was calm which made it a pleasure and a relaxing experience shooting there at that time.

I walked off the beach with joy in my heart as I was happy with what I’d captured.
