Even when the tide is receding, the colours can be well contrasted and interesting.
This photoshoot of a sunrise at Flagstaff Beach, New South Wales, Australia, was full of surprises.
Surprises in the form of incredible light and the pleasure of unpredictability in the waves, which I thrive on.
As a Landscape Photographer, I am continuing to learn the cloud patterns and the momentum of the tides and the effects they have.
Sometimes we miss so much by being ‘busy’ don’t we?
One of the main aspects I love about landscape/seascape photography is taking the time to be intentional. Observing what nature is doing and how it is taking its course.
There is more to nature than meets the eye. But we miss it, if we’re too busy to take notice!
I prepared myself for this photoshoot in advance, knowing where I was going to stand and the manner in which I was going to compose my shots.
Preparation is paramount as a landscape/seascape photographer. I always prepare my photographic equipment before each shoot.
Ensuring my batteries are charged and my lens/lenses and photographic filters are clean.
It’s important to add variety in every facet of what I do. Compositions and destinations, to name a few.
My passion for photography essentially becomes infused in my work. It is who I am and not just what I do.
It is indicative of my intentionality to bring out the best that I can in each image by studying what is before me and to sharpen my photographic skills.
This shot reflects the warmth of the sky at sunrise, whilst the tide is going out. The rock in the foreground represents a type of starfish. What does it mean to you?
The sand can be an interesting feature, particularly if the water reflects the sunrise. The warmth of the sun tinges the clouds, introducing an interesting dynamic.
Thank you for appreciating my work!
