Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!
When I arrived at Redcliffe beach that morning, I instinctively knew the sunrise was going to be spectacular. And, it was, from start to finish.
Wearing my waders, I walked to the spot where I knew the sun was going to soak the beach. I secured my tripod in the coarse sand on the shoreline. I did not have to wait too long before the first threads of light appeared on the horizon. What a beautiful sight that was!
I adjusted my tripod legs, by reducing them in height to maximise the effect of the light across the water and the sand.
The jetty at Redcliffe is iconic, it’s a great feature which adds interest. The light and weather conditions were perfect. To experience moments like that are truly memorable.
As the temperature was lean, there weren’t the usual number of people present on the beach. Although, in saying that, they would have been drawn to the cafe that serves quality coffee and delicious croissants, which you can smell from the beach. What an invitation that is, to enjoy coffee and a croissant early on a chilly morning.
With the onset of winter and having good cloud cover on the horizon, always makes for a sensational sunrise. The light was consistently strong throughout my shoot. Sometimes light of that quality is known to fade quickly. It was a productive photo shoot.
That morning I packed away my equipment with joy in my heart.
