in me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!
Snapper Rocks is one of my favourite photo shoot locations. It is a versatile place to shoot from. It has a large rock shelf where I have stood and captured big waves, which have been thrilling moments. The rock shelf is most suited to low tides, particularly if the surf is big. I have had my equipment splashed on the odd occasion during the winter months when the waves have accelerated towards me at an almost alarming rate.
On the morning of this photo shoot, the weather conditions were perfect. The clouds were incredible, when I saw them at first light, I grew excited as I realised the light filtering through them would be spectacular.
Right from the start it was an inspirational sight. I sat on the concrete wall during my shoot. Once my tripod and camera were secure I started clicking immediately. Light like that does not always last that long. It did that morning. But I was not going to take any chances.
The surfers were prolific but the photographers were scarce. Snapper Rocks is a popular surf spot due to big winter swells, which also attracts photographers. I walked away from my photo shoot with a spring in my step as I knew I’d captured something special.
