Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!
Surfers Paradise has been one of my favourite photo shoot locations since moving to the Gold Coast. It is versatile, beautiful with luxury accommodation hugging the coastline, closely packed together to maximise the view.
This photo shoot was captured when my husband and I celebrated our anniversary. We chose to treat ourselves and to spend the weekend away in luxury accommodation. I knew we could walk across the road which was a treat. And we did that. First light was evident just after 3.30am, so it was great not to leave home extra early.
As I secured my tripod legs on the shoreline, and as the light split the horizon, separating light from darkness, I instinctively knew it was going to be an inspirational shoot. And it certainly was. Sometimes, photo shoots with intense light, the light can dissipate very quickly. Not during this morning.
During the entire photo shoot, I shot in sublime light and weather conditions. The ocean was calm, and the light soaked the sand on the shore like a radiant fire. It was too beautiful to describe.
I took every opportunity to capture the essence and mood of the moment. Light like that does not come with every sunrise, which is understandable. But when it does, you maximise each minute and extract every second of light that you are able to.
Walking back to our apartment was a joyous experience as I knew there were some shots that were worth being there from 3.35am to capture.
