As you can see, Redcliffe beach features a jetty, for added interest, this beach is one of my favourite locations. It is close to home which is fortunate. Although I enjoy driving to most destinations early in the morning when the traffic is light.
The tide was coming in on the morning of this photo shoot which is always wonderful to capture reflections more effectively. I wear waders which is a bonus, particularly during the winter months. I secured my tripod in the sand, which is coarse at this beach which also an advantage, and mostly, the water gently laps towards the shore.
It is such a pleasure being at Redcliffe beach as it is versatile. The light is always incredible there too. As I walked onto the beach, as first light was about to break across the horizon in front of me, I grew excited as the cloud formations were extraordinary. Wintertime is always an incredible time for photographers due to the light and sometimes spectacular clouds.
That morning, the light lasted well. Sometimes it can fade quickly, but I was fortunate to squeeze every second of light into my camera.
At the end of my photo shoot, I was happy as it was a memorable time at the beach.
