Wategos Beach, Northern New South Wales, Australia, is a slice of paradise. During the summer months, due to Queensland being one hour behind New South Wales, it is not a beach that I visit too often.
As it involves cracking my bedding during the very early hours of the morning to reach this inspirational destination.
However, during the winter months when the surf is big and the clouds cover the horizon like a beautiful blanket, both at sunrise and at sunset, it is worth the distance to travel to. It is the most easterly land mass in Australia.
