Location: Snapper Rocks, Gold Coast, Australia
A cyclone was approaching the eastern Australian coastline and the conditions were obvious. The ocean was pulsating with power.
Arriving at first light and positioning myself on the renowned concrete wall at Snapper Rocks, was fortunate, as it did not take long before the wall was crowded with photographers. The tide was coming in, whilst it beat with fury against the wall.
Brave and experienced surfers were thriving in those wild conditions. I secured my tripod at a good height and marvelled at the power of God as the waves increased in height and speed, at an alarming rate.
Water cascaded over the rocks, representing impressive waterfalls, whilst the sunlight pierced through the layer of dark clouds. It was an exhilarating photoshoot. One I would remember for some time to come.
