Location: Wellington Point, Queensland, Australia
Wellington Point is iconic with fishermen, joggers, cyclists, photographers and dog walkers. When I arrived on the morning of this photo shoot, instinctively, I knew it was going to be something special.
I have learnt to read the clouds, as first light appears. It is always my intention to extract every bit of light and to capture it accurately, using filters and quality equipment.
With the incoming tide, I heightened my tripod, whilst I walked in fairly deep water, in the semi-dark, to discover the appropriate spot to shoot from.
The light was superb from the start, which enabled me to rotate my camera on my tripod. I use my camera equipment regularly as it facilitates in a seamless photographic experience, when the light requires you to work quickly.
