What a feeling!

Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!

It was a freezing cold morning the day I captured this image. I parked my car as close to the lake as possible so I could get warm quickly.

I waited for the light to appear on the horizon when I walked to the lake as it is a desolate location, Gravel Pit, Jack’s Point, Queenstown.

As I stepped into the lake, I knew it was going to be an exciting photo shoot. The wind picked up speed straight away. The chill factor dropped, fortunately I was warm. I wear waders that enable me to be waterproof. I also make sure I have several layers of clothing on to combat the icy conditions.

The colours of the sky at dawn were superb. I adjusted my focal length on my lens. There was a hint of warmth in the sunrise, which contrasted with the blue in the sky.

Even though I enjoy every photo shoot, I was happy to hold a hot mug of hot chocolate in my hands after a very cold, but exhilarating photo shoot.
