The tide was fairly low at Snapper Rocks, Queensland, Australia, the morning of this shoot.
When I arrived at the generous rock shelf, I used the opportunity of the good light and captured images from various vantage points. The tide was just starting to come in. As I studied the waves, and their momentum and height, I decided to wander closer to the periphery of the rock face.
It was at that moment that a big wave broke against the rocks and splashed my equipment and myself. Fortunately everything was ok. I wear waders so I was safe and so was my equipment. It was a moment to remember.
Thank you for appreciating my work!
