Strength in Unity

Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!

Burleigh Heads Beach, Gold Coast, Australia is beautiful. It is world renowned with surfers for its infamous wave breaks, particularly during the winter months when the ocean swells are impressive. It is at that time when the sea is prolific with surfers.

On the morning of this photo shoot, I had chosen another location further down the coast as I had not been there for quite some time.

When I arrived at that particular beach, I could not help but see a big dredger well illuminated in the night sky, seeing the dredger I knew I needed to drive to Burleigh Heads. It has an interesting coastline which is always a great feature.

First light makes an early appearance now, with the Southern Hemisphere heading towards summer. I arrived at the Burleigh Head’s car park at 5am. I did not waste time as I put on my waders and headed straight for the shore line. There was a distinct blood line on the horizon, representing first light. I was well equipped and prepared for a spectacular photo shoot.

The weather and ocean conditions were perfectly calm whilst the light was superb. I secured my tripod in the sand, I lowered it to absorb and maximise the spectacular light.. The waves were medium-sized and lethargic, which made my shoot even more relaxing. The sun rose above the horizon like a blazing ball. The beach was quiet. A few people walked past me with coffee in hand, enjoying the beauty before them.

I wrapped up my shoot, knowing I had captured some special shots..
