Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!
On the morning of this photo shoot, I arrived at Burleigh Heads, Queensland, Australia, in good time to consider where I would shoot from. This wonderful location is very popular with surfers, joggers, and photographers.
It is also a versatile beach to shoot from, with good options, with the tide being taken into consideration due to the vast number of rocks that form the area.
When I walked onto the beach, instinctively, I knew it was going to be a great sunrise, judging by the formation of the clouds before first light. It was a relatively quiet morning regarding surfers, they are normally quick to populate the area, naturally when the surf is good, which it almost always is at this location!
As first light unfolded and the spectacular light became more obvious, so did the magnificence of the moment. It was truly something to behold. The light does not always remain strong when it is so beautiful, but on that morning, it did.
My photographic filters were used to their maximum during that sunrise. I reduced my tripod legs to capture the light and the reflections at their best. The tide was perfect, and so was the absence of the wind, which made for calm conditions.
I could not get enough of that light and the relaxation of the moment, as usually the waves accelerate towards my camera, whilst, on that morning, the water was literally lapping at my feet.
When I packed away my equipment, I was happy as I knew I had captured some special shots.
