The drive to Mt Aspiring National Park, South Island, New Zealand from Wanaka is spectacular.
Depending on the weather conditions, the road leading into Mt Aspiring National Park is unsealed and one is encouraged to travel with caution.
Saying that, I have travelled along it during thick fog and the road surface was good.
Wearing my waders, I stepped into the river which was very cold. I captured this image during early April.
My camera, tripod and filters were with me of course. I remained close to the edge of the river due to it being fast flowing.
Watching the sunrise in this part of the world is truly beyond description. Even when the mountains are depleted of snow.
The cattle were just behind me as were the sheep. Chewing on grass in a fertile valley.
It was crisp and fresh with a gentle breeze. As soon as the sun made an appearance I clicked away at my camera.
There is something so majestic and mighty about mountains, isn’t there?
The clouds were infused with beautiful hues of pink and gold.
As a Landscape Photographer, I love the solace of the countryside. It brings you back to earth, so to speak, doesn’t it?
Food for thought and time to ponder on the good things.
Thank you for appreciating my work!
