This photoshoot was special in that the early morning sky was immediately illuminated with the most incredible colours.
Roaring Meg, Crown Range, South Island, New Zealand is spectacular. This is the location of my photo shoot.
Queenstown is in the distance, on the right of the image, which is ‘fringed’ by Lake Wakatipu.
The Remarkables mountain range, which is renowned for its skiing, is also on the right hand side of the picture.
Crown Range is an incredible road, particularly during the winter months, where it is icy and potentially hazardous.
As you can see, it was a particularly cold day.
The warmth of the countryside is in complete contrast to the coolness of the sky and the mountains in the distance.
I walked up Roaring Meg, in freezing cold conditions, wrapped in layers of clothing, in an attempt to keep warm.
My camera, firmly secured on my tripod, with icy cold winds whipping past me, made it a stimulating photo shoot.
That’s what I love about being a Landscape Photographer, exploring the countryside, lakes, rivers, ocean and capturing them for you to enjoy.
Thank you for appreciating my work!
