Driving to this wonderful location always excites me. Every sunrise is different. Even at the same location! I knew to put on my waders and to prepare my photographic equipment that morning.
As I stepped out of my vehicle, I could see the light was magnificent. Photo shoots at this destination are always interesting. I enjoy watching the fishermen go out to sea.
It is a popular place for cyclists and joggers. Its an ideal location to go for a walk and to barbecue. Particularly when the weather is good.
The tide was coming in. When the tide is out, I wear my waders and walk over the rocky ground to position my tripod in the water. Lowering my tripod to capture the reflections.
I have sometimes walked a way out at low tide. But, low and high tides are perfect here. High tide means I can sit on the rocks and capture the sunrise from a different perspective.
The sunrise was intentional before exploding into incredible colours. It was a sight to behold. The conditions were perfectly calm. The infusion of the bright colours is interesting.
At the end of my shoot I took time to climb up over the rocks. The scene before me relaxed and soothed me.
