Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!
The sunrise over Wanaka on the morning of this photo shoot was spectacular. I drove from Queenstown, navigating through the Crown Range mountain pass in the dark. I always drive with caution along that mountain pass, particularly during the winter months.
I’m familiar with Wanaka. It is a beautiful, peaceful town. It’s an idyllic location to rest awhile. I stood in the lake, focussing on the town of Wanaka.
The lake’s water level was good. I wear waders. They offer me opportunities to capture the same thing from a different perspective.
At sunrise, the light was magnificent. The reflections were outstanding. I then proceeded to capture That infamous Wanaka Tree, which was beautifully contrasted against the golden shades of autumn of the Poplar trees.
It was a shoot to remember. I walked away with a spring in my step.
