Harmonious Heartbeat

Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!

When I arrived at this lake, it had started raining.

The New Zealanders have a saying, rain by 7.00am, gone by 11.00am. My camera was secured to my tripod. I was ready for my photo shoot.

When I looked at the sky, I noticed a profusion of colours. I realised I was going to have a time of my life in Lake Hayes. It did not take long for the sun to emerge from behind the clouds. The conditions were perfect. Without a breeze and clouds that added interest, it was a perfect picture.

As I waded into the lake, I secured my tripod in the sand and commenced my photo shoot. The golden colours of the leaves were beautiful.

The sky was washed with colour of various hues. It looked like a painting. Fortunately I had my umbrella with me as it started raining during my shoot.

During the years I have learnt to change photographic filters and hold an umbrella simultaneously. I changed direction of my camera regularly as well as my focal length on my lens. It is important to add diversity and interest.

It turned out to be an exceptional sunrise, with a radiant rainbow to finish off my shoot on a high note. And of course, the gorgeous autumn colours that were a treat.

Autumn colours blended beautifully with the coolness of the sky, colours that washed the water with superb light. It was a photo shoot to remember.

When I packed away my photographic equipment, I was delighted as I knew I had captured some special shots.
