Commanding!

Some moments, become memories that linger, don’t they?!

This photoshoot was one occasion that did just that!

I captured this image during early Spring. It was taken from Roaring Meg, on the Crown Range, South Island, New Zealand.

Queenstown is to the right of the image, in the distant valley.

Spring is a beautiful time in New Zealand when everything comes to life. Trees that have been dormant, resembling skeletal frames, evolve into new fresh green leaves representing life.

As you can picture from the image, it was an icy cold morning. The colours that saturated the sky that morning were spectacular.

Arriving at my destination before sunrise, that day, in preparation for my photoshoot, is indelibly stamped in my mind.

The wind was icy cold, it pierced through the effective layers of my clothing. But I was determined to climb up the impressive gradient to get to my desired shoot spot.

Good things are always worth waiting for. And this principle applied to settling myself into my shoot and waiting for the sunrise.

My camera and tripod were safe and secure, whilst I had my photographic filters at hand.

When the sun made an appearance, it was definitely worth the wait. The mountain range is the back of The Remarkables, which is an impressive range, that almost takes your breath away when you approach Queenstown.

The warmth of the landscape, and the blended colours of the sky are well contrasted. I love the way God colours His Creation.

It was one of those photoshoots where the colour lingered in the sky for quite some time. It isn’t always like that, as you are aware.

Being a Landscape Photographer gives me great pleasure in showcasing God’s beauty and perfection!

Photography is my passion and so is exchanging life stories with people I come across with, along my journey.

Thank you for appreciating my work!
