From Clare’s Journal
Mona, is a farming community in Northern Queensland, Australia. The sunsets in this area, during the burning of sugar cane leaves is impressive, with displays of dramatic polluted clouds dispersed across the sky at sunset.
I could not resist using my camera frequently whilst I toured this area, as I drove around, searching for exceptional sunsets. I was not disappointed, as each evening I ventured out on a photo shoot, I arrived home overjoyed as a result of capturing rich gold skies at sunset.
The Photography Shoot
When I arrived at the farm, my chosen location, I introduced myself to the farmer who was affable. It was always an exciting moment, anticipating plumes of clouds contrasting perfectly with the sunset.
The weather was calm. I was presented with an ideal opportunity to use my photographic filters to their maximum capacity, which contributed towards the accuracy of the sunset.
Mona is a farming community, comprising predominantly of sugar cane farms. It is an ideal location to capture sunrises and sunsets. My time spent in Mona was productive.
