Breath of Wind

Join me in experiencing my adventures and excitement on my photo shoots, as I unwrap my journey involved in capturing images that linger, whilst reflecting spectacular scenery that soak the soul with peace and hope!

During my time of learning new photographic techniques with professional cameras, this wonderful location, Manly Yachts, Brisbane, has been a great place to train myself in advancing the art form of photography.

It was at this destination that I discovered the intriguing techniques regarding capturing shadows and light, particularly at sunrise.

Before sunset, I attempted to capture this wonderful scene from the waters edge. The rocks were incredibly slippery. The tide was receding. Wearing waders in slippery conditions is not a good idea. I used my tripod as leverage. However, I was unsuccessful in maintaining my balance. I fell hard against one of the rocks.

My wrist was okay, apart from quite a deep cut. I immediately went to the pharmacy and applied the appropriate antiseptic. Applying pressure stopped the bleeding. I was good to go and continue with my photo shoot.

Filters improve the quality of each image. They can add interest to cloud formations, depending on the strength of the wind, as well as smoothing the ocean surface.

The cloudy sky added interesting dynamics and impressive reflections. The mood was calm, with an intriguing blend of warmth and coolness. I packed away my photographic equipment with a spring in my step. It was a memorable photo shoot.
