Well worth the Journey!

Arriving at my destination, Coronet Peak, South Island, New Zealand, at the break of dawn, in freezing conditions, I was left in awe and wonder of the landscape before me!

As a Landscape Photographer I enjoy wide open spaces and places and the associated solitude.

The conditions were icy, with snow right down to the road on the Crown Range.

My camera and equipment were prepared before leaving home.

I found my spot and instinctively knew it was going to be a special sunrise.

Initially I was standing on the side of the road, when I noticed a well worn path in the grass.

As I climbed down a steep hill to reach my destination, my senses absorbed the beauty of God, that were bursting with His brilliance!

The temperature was below freezing point, with an added chill factor.

My tripod legs were reduced to their maximum, giving an accurate impression of what I was capturing.

Coronet Peak is renowned for its sunsets, due to its location. But the sunrise was stunning. The clouds added a dramatic effect.

The Remarkables mountain range is icy, snow is really starting to make its presence felt, whilst the hill in the foreground, and the sky, add warmth.

My shutter release was very active during this photo shoot!

Photography is not what I do, but who I am.

Every picture tells a story. What is your story?

Thank you for liking my work!
