High and Above!

Can you picture yourself here?

The Crown Range lies to the east of the Wakatipu basin in Otago, New Zealand.

Arrowtown, is a quaint town, which is steeped in history. It lies at the foot of the Crown Range.

The road is full of twists and turns between Arrow Junction and Wanaka.

It is an impressive mountain range that enables tourists/motorists to travel from Queenstown to Wanaka and to admire the spectacular scenery.

Roaring Meg is renowned for cross country skiing, witnessing tourists stopping and building snowmen and having fun in the snow during the winter months.

During the summer months, it has been known to snow on Roaring Meg.

To the right of the image, you can catch a glimpse of Queenstown.

This area is a photographer’s dream. I always have my camera at hand to capture the magnificent landscape.

Tourism is paramount in South Island, New Zealand and this is one area where camper vans stop overnight. In any weather.

It is windswept but beautiful beyond words. A landscape woven with warm and cool colours.
